Did an oil and filter change the other day and everything is back as normal. I probably won’t be buying any more Napa Gold oil filters, but the cad has been sitting more than usual as I’ve only put on 2000 miles in the past year due to having another vehicle. Thanks for all your help, glad I...
No, I removed the old filter and the car has been parked. I’ll try a new filter and oil change, if that doesn’t change anything, I will pull the intake and oil filter housing. Thanks
I’ve taken that off about 5yrs ago to repair an oil leak; it was a PIA. The car starts and runs fine, it’s just when you rev it up to 2000rpms, it triggers the low oil pressure and starts to sputter. Looks like I’ll be taking off the intake manifold. Does anyone know where that hole in the front...
2007 Audi A8 4.2, with 143K, got the low oil pressure warning after going above 2000rpm. This car has been problem free for years and I do all my own maintenance, just did an oil change 2000 miles ago. Decided to pull the oil filter out and this car has a cartridge type filter. The small nipple...
It is the single cylinder engine. I've never changed a head gasket before but watched it on YouTube. Seems pretty straightforward. What's the best way to clean the head/valves and such?
Only used it once so far so it's hard to tell, maybe you're about right with the 2oz per hour because I did have to add some when I was done with the lawn.
Don't know any past history. Got a killer deal on it, it had a broken drive belt so the previous owner just bought a new tractor instead of a $20 belt. He did tell me it burnt oil. The thing that concerned me was how bad the spark plug looked when I pulled it out. I've noticed that these engines...
Just picked up a used Craftsman YTS3000 with a B&S 21hp OHV engine. It's burning oil and little puff of blue smoke when I engage the blades. I pulled out the spark plug and it was caked in black krud. Other than the oil burning issue, it runs ok. Could this be the head gasket? Any other way to...
I have an 08 Escalade and am about to change the power steering rack due to it leaking. The manual calls for GM 89021184 Power Steering Fluid; my question is, what is equivalent to use for this? Can't seem to find a definite answer. Thanks!
Not totally sure if it's still leaking or not. Just cleaned the engine really good and wiped it down. It was concentrated in the front lower part of the engine....possibly front crackshaft seal if the leak comes back I'm thinking. I will wait a few days and then check it out.
