    Well, I change every 22000 km. It should have lost more than 100 ml; maybe it did, but visually, on the deep stick, there's no difference.

    My car does not consume 1 drop of oil; we have similar engines. First thing I suggest is to change the PCV valve, second use 5W-30 oil.

    I did not read yet the link that you posted, I try to give my explanation I might be wrong. The efficiency is the ability to filter + the flow rate.For sure when the filter ages the flow goes down but the size of particulates that can filter should be better since the micro pores of the filter...

    Take into consideration that the oil filter, as it ages, increases its filtration capability.

    I had the same engine; the oil consumption is due to the bad PCV Valve. I use Mobil 1 0W-40 with no issue apart from oil consumption

    If for you money is not a problem, go for Amsoil 0W-30 Signature Series, you will be more than ok at 10.000km Oil Change.

    Go only with a good 5W30, Hyundai - Kia engines want thick beef.
