What about cooking oil? My dad tried to help drain the brake reservoir by using a siphon used for cooking oil. Stupid idea, he ended up splashing brake fluid all over and I'm know there is grease from the cooking oil in the reservoir
sorry if i'm reviving a dead thread. mazda slave cylinder repair calls for a moly grease where piston meets the clutch fork. how "do-or-die" is this? i have a tub of GM multipurpose grease lying around. most stores in my area have to special order moly grease, and only 1 local store had honda 60...
thanks for everbody's replies. i've also tried a dielectric silicone grease which was stupid expensive. it was a bit too "grey" in color and too runny compared to the original grease. the original had a brownish tint like vaseline. i will get a tube of the super lube and try that out. thanks again.
