    Battery handheld air compressor

It’s a convenience for me. The plug in compressors work fine but I always seem to tripping over the power cord. I paid $50 for mine two years ago and still works great.

    Battery handheld air compressor

I've had a similar air compressor for a couple of years. For topping off tires that are a few PSI low, it works perfect. I have a larger compressor for bigger jobs. I carry the compressor in my truck and it takes up very little room in its carrying case.

You’ll never see $70 oil again.

$75.82/ barrel this morning. It’ll be in the 60’s in a week.

    Need advice on Lawn

Just buy some lawn paint like they use on football fields in the late fall/winter. It will get the pesky HOA out of your life while the grass has time to grow.

What are you working on today?

Washed the backup car(06 ES330) in the driveway and then cleaned out the GX460 a week after our last road trip.

Have you ever reconnected with an old friend after 35 years

I recently had lunch with a high school friend that I had not seen or heard from since 1993. He was exactly the same as I remembered. It was a nice couple of hours of catching up. He still had the low down of the friends that we grew up with. We are planning to do some light off roading this...

    Gas Price pics

I didn’t take a picture, but was at the only gas station out at Teton Village, 6.09/ gallon. I chose to put in $40 to get me around while i was in town. Most I have ever spend on a gallon of gas. Oh the good old days of $.89/gallon, that was in the early 90’s in San Diego.

2026 Tacoma i-Force Max needs new short block - Didn't drill oil passage completely during machining

I’ll keep my 23 Lexus GX460 for awhile. Reliable technology is more important than the newest tech. I had a 20 Tundra Platinum that was dead reliable, just oil changes and filters for the two years I owned it. I knew when Toyota ditched the v-8’s for turbos, it was going to be a problem.

My choice, Stihl 800x backpack blower.

I love my Stihl backpack blower. I’ve had it for almost 10 years and it has given me zero issues. I also use to remove light snowfalls, so much better than shoveling. For the big jobs the 2 stage Ariens 24” does just fine.

Post your latest small engine oil change

Exmark push mower. First oil and filter change after purchasing it new last summer. Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 10w30 along with oil filter I found on Amazon. Super easy.

A geologist reviews Cooper Discoverer AT3 LTs on his field truck

I had the Coopers on my 20 Tundra. Absolutely a fantastic tire. Great off road, quiet and smooth at interstate speeds and wore like nickel. Also did pretty decent in the snow, didn’t always need 4wd on the slick stuff. I’ve always been impressed with the Cooper line, we sold a lot of those at my...

    Brake Rotors - Toyota Tundra

I’m going with Carbotech brakes when the pads finally wear down on my 23 Lexus GX460.

Is it worth having a third car as a 'beater'?

Our third car was suppose to be for my autistic daughter but she is not going to drive for awhile. I drive a 23 GX and my wife has her 24 Acura RDX. Our "beater" is an 06 Lexus ES330 with 17,500 original miles in the highly sought after grandpa gold. I love driving the 20 year old car. None of...

Brake pad recommendation // FL5 Civic Type R

My old Air Force buddy says really good things about the Carbotech's. He use to track his old MR2 and said that they were really good at limiting brake fade.
