    super tech ATF

I used Supertech exclusively in one transmission and intermittently in others. I wouldn't call it a bottom of the barrel fluid or an inferior fluid. I have also used their DEX VI and that stuff is awesome. I would use the dex 6 if you can afford it if not have no worries over the dex 3. It has...

    Equus 3160

Thinking about getting this OBD2 scanner. What do you all think as I have never used one before and don't know much about brand reputation etc... I know this is the top of the line one, I figure its better to have the features and not use them rather then be in a position wishing I had features...

Would you use 2 year old opened coolant?

You might be slightly confused with the cautions that go with using opened brake fluid containers. I would use it with no worries.

    Onion inspired coolant filter

I bought the van used so I don't know previous history. The coolant in their now is about 14 months old, but I don't do a complete flush - I just drain the radiator and refill, so some of the coolant left in there was old, but how old I don't know. Do a drain and refill onced a year and you...

    Onion inspired coolant filter

My last run. Ran for 1,000 miles. Did this the first of december just been to busy to get the pic posted. No visible sand in the pic, but there was some sand caught in a few of the pleats that was appearant when scraped with my finger. Seeing this was run the longest and had the least sand; I...

It is either residual casting sand from when the block was cast or it is the silicate drop out that I have read about in cooling section. Those are my top two guesses.

Here are pics of the next filter run, which was 601 miles and two periods of extended idling mixed in. The paper held up fine and it was a real chore to separate it from the glue that held it in place to the can. You can see that the sand was evenly caught in all the pleats. Filter was not...

    Iridium Spark Plugs

I don't know. I bought a Champion set for 5.49 each. Plus I get a $2.50 each rebate, that makes them $3 each. I haven't put them in yet so I don't know if they are for real. I have seen the NGK for like $10 each.
