    Troy Built w/Honda 160cc

The self propel feature is broken on mine now. The shop said it might be worth taking the Honda engine of and putting it on another deck. I'm kind of [censored] because I expected more from Troy built, but, like everything else these days, it was cheaply made I guess!

    Troy Built w/Honda 160cc

Starting second season with the same, but self propelled.Bought at Lowes, open box for $200- and love it. I use Mobil 1 10/30,starts on the first pull every time and runs nice and smooth. I start mine one a week in the winter and let it run 5 minutes to warm up rather than winterize it.No...

    Metallic "glimmer" in small engines?

Even in winter, I try to start it once a week and let it run for 5 minutes to warm up. This way I don't have to fog it,worry about Stabil,..etc. I tie a piece of twine around the kill switch bar and grab a hot cup of coffee while it idles. Not so bad! P.S- That's on last years gas, and it runs...

    Metallic "glimmer" in small engines?

Begining my 2nd season with a Troy bilt with a Honda GCV 160. Changed factory fill after around 5 hours to 8/10s of a quart M1 10/30, and just changed it today for begining of the season. Clean as a whistle, starts imeadiatly on the first half assed pull, and runs smooth like a BMW. I'm a...

    Cracking Wall Paint?

Scrap off the loose stuff down to bare sheetrock, if possible, then patch with drywall compound if necessary. When it dries, sand it smooth and use a GOOD primer, like Bin sealer 123. Also use a good quality eggshell finish paint, like Benjamin Moore, or Sherwin Williams. You can't use flat...

Stoner's Invisible Glass wand cleaning tool

Try using a clean cotton t shirt soaked in PLAIN TAP WATER, and rung out, on the interior glass first. This will remove the haze caused by the sun drawing the chemicals out of the interior plastics, which gets deposited on your glass. Then follow this with your favorite cleaning/polishing method...

What polish to use before waxing my cars?

The fleetwax has a very mild abrasive in it. Be careful to read the bottles with collinites. They have a cleaner called "sapphire" that is NOT clear coat safe, and you probably don't want anything fiberglass specific.

What polish to use before waxing my cars?

For a mild cleaner, I use Collinites Fleetwax (in the bottle, not paste)with good results. I will probably do a clay bar this spring just to see what it does! They have them at Wallyworld now, cheap compared to what they used to cost.

    Yellow Ion Crystal?

Was wondering if anyone knew a source for Piaa or other ion crystal foglight bulbs for my 2002 Volvo XC70 to light them up yellow for rain and fog?

    Rotella T Syn 5W40 For Volvo XC70?

Wow!Quick responses! Thanks! I will probably stick with the 5/40 for awhile as the mileage thing is not a huge issue, as my last vehicle was a chevy 2500HD 496 Big Block with an Allison trans and a 4:10 rear! (7 around town, 11 on the highway!) This car is like a Prius or VW TDI compared to that...

    Rotella T Syn 5W40 For Volvo XC70?

Hey guys! Just bought a 2002 Volvo xc70 2.4 turbo w/ 98,000 miles and am switching to Rotella T 5w40 synthetic for a good cleaning and there after. Owners manual says 5w40 and this seems like the best that is easily available. Thoughts? P.S- What evers in there now is pretty crusty, kind of like...
