O'Reilly offering $10 billion for NAPA?

Quite a few articles over the last days suggesting that O'Reilly has offered $10 billion to take over NAPA. Wonder how that would affect things? Here's one article: https://www.motor1.com/news/800911/oreilly-automotive-buy-napa-auto-parts/

Premium Guard UPG-63R vs Premium Guard PG2500 vs Premium Guard PG2500EX

No, unfortunately. In the Walmart app they are sold by Walmart, not a third-party retailer.

Premium Guard UPG-63R vs Premium Guard PG2500 vs Premium Guard PG2500EX

Does that suggest that we have roughly 4 tiers of quality from Premium Guard? I'm guessing on what offerings might be considered to be fairly equivalent, so tell me if I have something in the wrong tier. Omitting Carquest basic model, since it's not necessarily made by PG Omitting STP basic...

Premium Guard UPG-63R vs Premium Guard PG2500 vs Premium Guard PG2500EX

Noticed today that Walmart has cut prices on the Premium Guard PG2500, which is good. I've been following the overall view that PG makes some of the better filters out there these days, but I don't believe I've seen a strict ranking of the three Walmart Premium Guard offerings that cross to the...

    Fram Core 6607 C&P

This model has the filter on the bottom, just forward of the drain plug in the oil pan. The bottom of the oil pan is about 2 inches lower than the bottom of the oil filter, so I believe a 7317 would fit, since the 7317 is supposedly only about 3/4" taller than the 6607. I don't think I'd want...

    Fram Core 6607 C&P

That's correct, that's just oil reflecting light. I could not find any tears in the pleats. The bypass valve has the usual ruffles in it of course.

    Fram Core 6607 C&P

My understanding is that the Fram 6607 is spec for this engine, but the 7317 is a recommended upgrade due to being physically larger but otherwise identical.

    Fram Core 6607 C&P

Hi all. Here we have a 2004 Subaru Forester with 229,232 miles, last change done at Walmart, using a Fram Core 6607 and Quaker State 5W-30 synthetic blend 5000 miles ago. Replaced with a Fram Tough Guard 6607 and Supertech 5W-30 synthetic blend. Can opened with a hacksaw. There was some...

    Hyundai/Kia 26300-35505, Mann+Hummel Korea 5400 miles

This Forte uses the same filter my 2016 Sorento used, and since it has the 2.0 Theta II engine, then it may be a time bomb waiting to go off. That may explain the metal on the drain plug magnet. Many thousands of the Theta II 2.0 and 2.4 engines have been replaced under warranty and/or recall...

Mopar Oil Filters from the Mopar store

Agreed, The closest Rural King to me occasionally has the Mobil 212A and 114A on sale for $7.99, which beats all of the others around me by a fair margin. Ace Hardware sometimes has a $10 off $20 coupon, which can bring the Mobils down to about $10.99 apiece.

Wix XP odd pricing at Walmart

And to further mix it up, Wix just announced they're laying off about 20% of their workforce. Wix the website builder, that is.

A chance to pick up some SuperTech ST12060 filters

    Same bypass valve PSI setting?

A chance to pick up some SuperTech ST12060 filters

A friend mentioned they'd seen a few Supertech ST12060 on the shelf at their local WallyWorld. Reviewing older threads, seems like they're not bad per se, and maybe there are some who really like them, but are they worth picking up for my 2023 Equinox for $3.48 apiece? I've been hoovering up...

Wix XP odd pricing at Walmart

Good catch, I missed that. Thanks for pointing that out.

Wix XP odd pricing at Walmart

I agree completely. Just wondering if the XP is made from unobtainium or something like it.
