    NAPA (or other) brake rotors?

Being in the rust belt, I always tend to use Centric rotors, and source them on Amazon. Quality has been superb, but most importantly to me is the edge of the rotors as well as the "hat" parts coated in a black finish that will not rust.

Raybestos rotor and caliper coatings are worthless

When I replace calipers, I use NAPA brand. Black painted ... I've never had any issue like your pic when using NAPA calipers. On rotors, I tend to use Centric brand (you can find on Amazon) I too live in the salt belt. These rotors have the leading egde and "hat" part of the rotor coated in a...

    07 Accord 2500rpm shudder

I'm going to wager the car has been subjected to long oil change intervals, and perhaps allowed to run low. VTEC screens - you'll have two on that car ... don't clog or "sludge" if the car is properly maintained. The printout mentions an 02 sensor as well... and the two issues aren't related. So...

    Bad Rear Brakes- Not obvious

As for rebuilt calipers ... I've used NAPA remans for years now ... maybe on 7-8 different cars ... never an issue. I also like it that they come painted black ... helps to reduce rusting, as I live in the salt belt as well. As for the original post here .... I've found that here in the NE...

Gold (brass?) flecks in drained Honda ATF

Pulled the trigger on a new to me 2016 CR-V today

The warped rotors could be as simple as who did the tire rotations .... if the tech just used their impact gun & hammered on the lug nuts and didn't hand torque the lug nuts with a torque wrench ... that alone can cause warped rotors.

2003 Accord. Whirring noise and oil light

You didn't say how many miles are on your Accord. These engines, while very reliable as a rule, can have issues if basic maintenance is neglected. The VTEC system has two very fine "mesh" screens that tend to sludge up if the oil changes are neglected. One is located on the front of the engine...

2019 Toyota Highlander LOTS of metal flakes

Wow, the particles would concern me as well! We have a 2018 Highlander, and I dumped the factory fill at about 1,800 miles .... saw nothing unusual. After that initial change, I did the second change at about 5,000 miles (3,200 on that change) and it looked good to the naked eye as well. After...

2015 Honda CR-V loud engine noise

Are there a check engine light? I'm wondering about the VTEC system & such. Have oil change intervals been long? As in, 10,000 mile intervals? Does the car use (consume) oil?

    2001 Toyota Sequoia

On the aftermarket side, have you considered Walker Exhaust? Unless you are in NY or CA, these will work for you. Their cats are known for good quality and high precious metal content. They show on Amazon for $179 for one side - part number 54569, and $208 for the other side. That is a "flange...

    2015 Toyota Highlander V6 100k miles

You will be stunned at the rear differential fluid. We have a 2018 Highlander ... I changed the rear diff fluid at 10,000 miles ... the fluid was jet black and the magnet was full of "fuzz". I changed the transfer case as well ... it was not bad at all and could have waited. I'll start changing...

New 2019 Toyota Highlander first oil change

Interesting post. We have a 2018 Highlander. I dumped the factory fill around 2,000 miles, and ran that new fill on up to the 5,000 mile car mark, making the 2nd run about 3,000 miles. No issues. Have been using Amsoil XL0w20, with Amsoil filters. Since then, I've gone 5,000 miles on the same...

    2004 Honda Accord

Just looked on Amazon ... I am fairly certain that your car takes a Denso 234-9040 Air Fuel Ratio Sensor (upstream oxygen sensor) Price is $99.99. Again, Denso is the only way to go on oxygen sensors ... steer clear of generic brands.

    2004 Honda Accord

If you're going to move forward with the oxygen sensor, I suggest staying with DENSO brand. Amazon carries these as well ... this is who manufacturers the OEM Honda sensors. You'll save a ton buying it on Amazon vs. a Honda dealer. From my experience, use Denso only.... stay away from Bosch...
