Sounds like a fine combo to me. You could leave the boss filter on for multiple oil changes. I would just use a good Dino or a cheaper synthetic like super tech for 5k Odcis in your situation though.

It is a good oil at a good price point.

Sounds like your plan is sound and reasonable. The filter will become a little more efficient and your oil changes will be simple. The synthetic media and silicone adbv should easily last a few years. Just visually check the filter for rust on the outside of the can once in a while.

The pleat spacing is fine. I believe champion labs is making these now but they build them much better than the fram extra or tough guards.

This Bosch filter looks well made. The pleat spacing is perfectly fine.

I open mine up so I can see for myself and so far I've never had a failed filter of any sort or from any manufacturer. I'll cut another purolator classic open and a m1 in a few days. Bet they r both fine. Not just glued together paper lol like another manufacturer I know
