Weed wacker string life is pathetic

To be clear I have a separate edger. I used probably the wrong term but I am primary using it on grass, not on concrete or stone (as least for the bulk of it. Doesnt matter how gentle I use it. I get about 8-10ft of use and it breaks (inside) so I have to take it apart and refeed it dozens of...

Weed wacker string life is pathetic

In my experience it has not made one lick of difference. Hence my post

Weed wacker string life is pathetic

I have never found a string that can consistently go further then maybe 10 feet of edge without snapping off. Ive tried thin, thick, tightly wound, loosely wound. Expensive, cheap. Soaked in water for many days. Nothing makes a difference or any sense. What am I missing?!

ST9972 Toyota Rav4 2ARFE 6k Valvoline Restore and Protect - used oil filter

None at all. Just went to 5w30 for the season to see how it likes it, my parents are a bit hard on the oil.

ST9972 Toyota Rav4 2ARFE 6k Valvoline Restore and Protect - used oil filter

Yes, they are no more. They were a solid (maybe best?) option for this fitment, at especially the $2.97 price point. I went to 2 this week hoping to grab more, but the shelves are disturbingly empty, I should of jumped on the ball when I heard they were no more. Ill switch this Rav4 to...

Off my moms 2018 Rav4. Valvoline Restore and Protect 0w20 was used, duration of 6,000~ miles, currently at 96,017miles on unit. Looks perfect, another ST9972 (last of my stash 😞 dangit) went on. I wish I bought way more. Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w30 went in. Last photo is after a day...

MicroGard Select MSL51348 - Malaysia Version

I was going to suggest perhaps the difference of fresh tooling...but the count change throws that out the window 😆

    First oil filter you bought?

2001, I was 16. Grandfather gave me my first car, my passed grandmothers 79 Malibu, 305/th200/2.29. Had 77,587miles on it IIRC. I didnt really know much beyond what TV told me, so I ran a OCOD with Castrol GTX 10w30 on its first oil change. Few months later I started driving the car and it...

Here's what I do to HPL oil

Ive had a few interesting things happen when I used to run on Summit Main in my first turbo Tercel. Ive had an axle nut back off. Lost 2 sessions trying to figure out what was wrong then saw the cotter pin and nut cap was missing on the right front, wild. Another time one of my brake calipers...

New Castrol CAS6607 oil filter cut open

Looks like a decent basic filter. What does the flashlight test look like with some actual pressure on the spring?

Microgard Select - filter deposit comparison: Valvoline Restore and Protect vs Mobil 1 Advanced Clean

Interesting results, but ultimately not enough data to clearly say one thing or another. If anything, it just says you need to do a few more rounds to see. Id suggest run the Mobil 1 first, then the Valvoline Restore and Protect since we know that works for sure.

    Carquest with no holes

FWIW Ive been ordering thru rockauto for about 17 years now and have had only 2 actual problems out of the hundreds of orders Ive place. I personally have made many more times mistakes on the actual orders then anything on their end.

    Champ PH820XL C&P

Its hard to continue using a filter like that, when so much better exists in a similar price range. Thanks for the CnP

    Fram force 9688 C&P

It does look mediocre. However, to me, it looks like most of the mangling was from prying it out of that heavy crimped-cut can?
