My first whip is getting older and it is about time to do this big job. I do have access a good reliable mechanic that I can bring parts to so I am going that route and want to have it done either either this hokiday (probably too early) or bext hokiday. It has been able 10+years and 100k...
I think Kirkland full synthetic oil is still $33 per 2 5-quart jugs so it is under $20 per jug after taxes and a good Fram filter is under $15 after taxes so we’re looking at $35. I prefer to change it myself and neither my cars use all 5 quarts. Of course, the cost goes up if I take it to...

Hauled 10 bags of dirt in my Fit when it was a year old and probably messed up the rear suspensions as the result. That was 12 years ago and I am still rocking OEM suspension with almost 200k miles. I don’t do that again...
Same exact thing happened to me except it was for my 02 Accord. I paid under $200 for all pads, rotors, and fluid. The scary thing is both of my brake lines broke a month and less than 500 miles later. I essentially paid an off-hour $150 to install the parts and took it back to get inspected...
I saw that and couched it as either a third-tier English level sale department as new vehicle would either be a Toyota product or it is a Frankenstein aftermarket.
Personally, I would buy it for under $40k since it would be how much I would be willing to pay for a new Taco 4WD with full 4 door...
Drivehard,
Even though you have valid points, I don’t think it was what 10W was implying in. If anything, vehicle should come standard with either a 360 degree recording device or standardized location for aftermarket plug-in-play as that is more important than most features out there. Apple...
Anything that comes with Apple CarPlay and some sort of collision sensors from factory is very modern to me. Even parking lot sensor system is high tech.
I haven’t. I prefer lower tech vehicles but collision sensors and Apple CarPlay are safety features to me. I rank them as important or close to ABS and airbags. Things like heat and cool seats or multi-zone climate control are nuisance.
Oh wait, I just look OP’s car list. These are good reliable car except for the unknown issue with Subaru going from gasket leak to other issues as they seem to manage to always find a way to use inferior part or material to have planned obsolescence. These are not even middle class vehicles...
A Kia Carnival is the best minivan I have seen. If they can manage to copy Odyssey’s trick to hide the sliding door rail,it would be a SUV with sliding doors. They just need to increase ride hight by 2 inches as a $2000 adventure option like Subaru and it would be a ideal option for most people.
