How do you know it wasn’t fuel or water contaminated as you said? I absolutely believe you when saying you never seen oil do that before, but curious how you can say it was thinner and it wasn’t because of fuel dilution or some thing else. Did you have an oil analysis done?

I was thinking of getting one for my Tacoma. Current air filter looks good still but I may swap anyway. I’m trying to replace fluids and all filters I can (within reason)

The last few times I’ve been to the local Walmart they have had ultra platinum 5w30 on the shelf for 26.97. I have 3 already plus 3 Valvoline Restore and Protect to go through for my truck and it’s all I can do not to grab one. I only drive my truck about 6k miles a year so I change in time...

My wife just traded for a hybrid camry. I planned on bumping up to 0w20 after 3 rounds of Valvoline Restore and Protect 0w16 (it was slightly used). Either ultra platinum or ESP 0w20. I would go 0w30 esp but im not sure if that wise given that it specs for 0w8.

Given how well Valvoline Restore and Protect has performed, I don't see a reason to pick the Mobil over it currently. I just changed my 2020 Tacoma over to Valvoline Restore and Protect and it quieted down my engine immediately. I was surprised. It always kids sounded like a baby diesel kinda...
