using "Nitrogen" as a deal breaker

I always use nitrogen in the tires I fill. If you have it available there is not much reason not to. The main advantage is that it allows you to use a higher cold pressure while still maintaining the proper running (hot) pressure.

    Torquing Toyota Corolla wheels

Would you consider a statement saying two 5w30 oils are the same and can handle the same conditions, without knowing any facts about them to be appropriate and reasonable? Don't forget the fact that any advice given on this issue of wheel studs and torque could result in a serious accident. Have...

Inner and Outer stamps on non-directional tires

My guess would be that the tire construction is not the same on the inside and outside corners. It is not uncommon for tires to have a more rounded edge on the outside and more acute edge on the inside. This is evidenced on tires such as Bridgestone RE003 and some race tires.

5 things you should never do in an AT

I have a vehicle manual which states the vehicle should not be changed from forward to reverse if it is moving faster than 10km/h (about 6.2mph). It is designed to be changed below this speed. If you understand how an automatic transmission actually works there is no reason that this should...

slam brakes - awful grab - wt??

It sounds like you experienced the normal operation of the Anti-lock Braking System. When the ABS activates you will feel the brake pedal pulsate and often there will be what most describe as a knocking sound as well.

    Why grease must separate(bleed)

My boxes are different. They are not stable when the grease catridges are vertical. I have Mobil grease. Not Mobil 1 Synthetic. But as you I still await an answer as to why it would be stored one way when in a box, and another when in a grease gun. It's still in the catridge. P.S. I just had...

Stupidity of ISO Metric Tire Sizing System

The best system is commonly used for race tires. Michelin commonly uses this system referring to their race tires. It is labelled as follows. Tread Width/Inflated Diameter (tire height) - Rim Diameter in centimeters For Example 20/65-18. This tire has approximately 20cm (200mm) tread width...

    Quality screwdriver set

Unless you have a special application then anything other than a JIS screw driver is a waste of time. Vessel make some great JIS screwdrivers that will work well in your Phillips head screws. https://youtu.be/3SSLsJNgn4M As he says in the video. It is a Phillips screw yet the JIS screw driver...

    Why grease must separate(bleed)

tig1 you only repeated what had been quoted already. It still offers no explanation why they say to store cartridge tubes of grease upright at all times, and then go onto to say that if cartridge tubes are left in grease guns they should be stored in a horizontal position. My Mobil grease...
