Nothing showing damage currently but I do see perceived damages in the future. I’m going to push for a tear down. Filter media had to go somewhere. Sending oil sample off to the local Caterpillar dealer tomorrow but I didn’t see any signs of metal in what was left of the filter.

I had a failure of this filter too. Almost looks like the same exact hole. Claim being filed with Fram’s parent company because the filter media is somewhere in the oil passageways. I have historical oil analysis to show wear trends and have taken a sample to send for analysis from this change.
