Wow thanks everyone. I must have gone to the wrong website cuz I didn't see rebate General tires. The seem to indicate that the Continental LX25 is quite good across the board, with no glaring negatives. The General 365AW scores a bit better in winter, leaning more toward winter capability...

Thanks for the info. Sounds like late November will be the ticket. The CR-V is pretty good in Michigan weather, even with average tires. Or, maybe I'm just used to driving in snow etc. Anyway, I considered (and may still consider) a more budget tire such as the Goodyear Reliant, Milestar...

Plan to get new tires for my son's 2010 CR-V (225 65 R17), and looking at the Continental LX25 or maybe the General 365AW (maybe the RT45 or other decent all seasons good for SE Michigan). Probably get tires from DT (Costco have limited selection in this size, so they are all around $200 each)...
