Also, if you use the ZAF you probably don't need a ball tester since it is premixed. But then again only a few bucks. They measure density and do not tell you if the anticorrosion additives are spent. Do a drop and fill once every 75 k and you should be fine.
Keep it simple. Get zerex asian formula, do a couple drop and fills, yiu will have about 75% fresh coolant. Unless the stuff already in there was really nasty, then do a third drop and fill. I have used ZAF since 60k in my 2010 Elantra. Now at 260k, drive in below zero to 95 degree gridlock...
I was going to ask what kind of driving you do. Agree with the other poster that 50k seems way too soon - mine went ar around 240k. My $200 figure may be a bit high,I would check the bill for you but we are in the middle of a blizzard. Pretty easy fix though, should be no problem for any indy to...
You may be right, but those codes are not gospel. When my pcv went i kept getting the code for faulty camshaft position sensor, even tho there was nothing wrong with it. My starting problems only occurred right after fillup but sound simlar to what y ou described, once running it ran just fine
Could also be faulty purge control valve. The valve can get stuck open by a tiny piece of debris, and when you start you are actually in a flooding condition, even tho it sounds like it needs fuel. Difficult starts and brief rough idle occur because this valve is not supposed to be open during...
Not a camry owner but sounds a lot like what I had with my Hyundai. Bet you have worn sway bar links. Not sure if it is covered under warranty, but if not the damage was around 200 bucks from an independent.s
