Talked to the garage and they made a mistake on the receipt as the serviceprotocol showed 229.51, they have put Q8 Formula M Long Life which is the correct oil for the engine so everything went well....

Ok i looked at the service protocol and it says 5w-40 and 229.51 but on the receipt it says Q8 Formula Excel, i can't find on Q8s site that Formula Excel is MB229.51 classified or even the Long Life version.... Strange...

Hi, I am a bit worried that my garage where i did a oil service of my MB E63 AMG didn't use the correct oil. The garage is a MB specialist(not authorized though..) since 25 Years back and should know what they are using.... I know my car needs MB 229.5 spec and 5w-40 as approved by MB, however...
