Thx for the response rraider. I know without a uoa it may just be guess, but I was hoping for someone like rraider who has the experience to pass on the info. I talked to a few people who do it every three days. I was just wondering what the "oil" guys think is prudent.

I running a stock 08 GSXR600 purely on the track. I am interested in what the recommended oci for hours on the track with Rotella T6 5-40 syn.

You also have to remember most techs have to supply their own chucks/inflation tools which might be very old. The pressure gauges are usually inaccurate. The current amflo inflator I just picked up is 4 psi off and my old one was 2 psi off. Our tire mounting machine is even further off.

The reason why the 5.7 Hemi uses 5-20 is because of the mds system.

The 6.1 Hemi doesn't have the mds system only the 5.7.

The 5.7L Hemi takes 5-20, so does chrysler 3.3L and 3.8L ohv, 2005 model year.

Without those caps you will slowly lose air.

The other day I cut open a 65F00 Nissan filter. Made in Japan was printed on it. When I opened the filter, it looked to be very fram like. It has paper end caps and the only thing that appeared to be of good design was the bypass valve, which was a coil spring design.
