i have this same mower and was wondering the same thing. i'll def go with synthetic, probably Super Tech from walmart because it is cheap. cant really find 10W40 anymore so will probably go with 10W30

Hello Everyone, new member but been reading for years. i have a 2006 cub cadet with the hydro gear rear end per the subject line. i want to change oil in it but i cannot find out what type oil and about how much capacity? could someone on the forum help me ? thanks a million
