Can We Revisit Toyota Transfer Gear Oil LF 75W?

Hate to say it guys, but I caved and bought the expensive stuff. This 4Runner has treated us well for 80K miles and I plan on keeping it much longer. Being a Limited, it has the full time T-Case and I haven't seen many comments on people specifically using other oils in that one; I do know there...

Can We Revisit Toyota Transfer Gear Oil LF 75W?

This oil (or Liquid Gold?) is perhaps the most hotly contested maintenance fluid on the Toyota forums (virgin analysis can be found here: Toyota 75W T-Case Oil). The manual calls it out specifically, and there seems to be no dead-set answer on what an acceptable alternative is. Most dealers...

My only concern with the Wix 57502 was the listed bypass pressure of 22 psi since I've read varying specs on the FL500S bypass pressures being from 8-18 psi. I gave Wix CS a call to discuss this and basically the answer I got was that the 57502 is designed to exactly replicate the FL500S' bypass...

    Motorcraft FL500S

I think I've decided to just go with the Wix 57502 which can be had for $7.62 via Amazon prime. The extra ~$1.50 is just splitting hairs at this point, and the peace of mind will be well worth it.

    Motorcraft FL500S

Thanks for all the help! These were the two examples I saw: https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/4374902/1 https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/4344649/1 I'm not quite comfortable running a filter for multiple oil changes, primarily because I don't...

    Motorcraft FL500S

I'm getting ready to do the first oil change on my 2018 F-150 w/ 3.5 Ecoboost, and I always used the Motorcraft FL500S on my 2013 because I thought it was a good filter for the money. I've seen information lately of tears in the filter media of the Motorcraft/Purolator filters which scares me a...

    Wagner OEX Pads

Thanks for the help guys! I decided to go with Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors and the Wagner OEX pads, so I'll keep you posted on the outcome. Ended up finding a pretty smoking deal on Ebay for the rotors ($58/ea) and the pads weren't too bad either ($43). OEM is often my answer to brake...

    Wagner OEX Pads

Thanks for the helpful replies! I rarely tow with my truck, so I think I'll be fine with ceramic pads. Those Frontline rotors look really nice, but they're fairly costly at about $115 each. I'm thinking about going with AC Delco professional or Raybestos advanced technology rotors (both coated)...

    Wagner OEX Pads

Does anyone have experience with the newer Wagner OEX pads? I read that they are GG rated but not certain. The stock front rotors on my 2013 F-150 are terribly grooved from the stock pads at just over 36k miles, and I'm looking for a replacement. I've gone with Hawk LTS in the past, but I'm...
