    More crazy neighbor stories

Here’s a video of one couple as they battle neighbors with dead smoke alarm batteries.

2025 so far EV sales up 28%

Seems like we have to let disgruntled citizens do as they wish these days. Happened back in 1/6/21 and no real punishment came from it at this point. The adults have left the children at home with instructions “not to burn the house down”. But the kids know mom and dad are big softies when it...

hvac is out at the rent house

Carrier brands will be using the R454-B as on now with most other brands using the R32. I would go with an R32 system just because it will probably be more widely available and yes it has been used in other countries for many years.

hvac is out at the rent house

Moving to R-454B and R-32. I’ve had luck with using a hard start capacitor from Supco with a compressor that is having a difficult time getting going. With the leak detection it will shut the system down completely if a leak is detected. In the past a slow leak would still let the system run.

hvac is out at the rent house

From my understanding the freon which over is on hold for now. R410A can still be installed if you can find one.

    Mazda F22 Coolant

I have only done one drain and fill with it. No issues.

    Mazda F22 Coolant

From everything I’ve read the blue and green Asian coolants/antifreeze are the same. My 2018 Mazda has green so I went with the green Peak.

Premium Guard oil Filter @ FSParts

There’s currently an eBay seller who has the PG4612EX (made in Vietnam) in a case of six for $32.30 with shipping. I went that route since it was cheaper than RA.

Looking to buy a used Mazda 3 - what to look for, what to avoid

I have a 2018 CX3 Touring with around 48k on it. It’s a fun car to drive and the small size makes the 2.0 non-turbo feel peppy. There’s not much room in the back seat of Mazda hatchbacks so if you will be carrying adult passengers you may want to consider that. I’m 5’6” with no kids at home so...

Is Fram endurance still one of the best buy's for cartridge filter?

Yes, the pic in post #22 definitely shows a thicker media. The oldest ST9972 I have is on the right with a date code of 01/25/24 and the left side is the newest with a date of 12/06/24. The media is fuzzier, for lack of a better word, on the oldest and the pleats look similar in thickness.

Is Fram endurance still one of the best buy's for cartridge filter?

Picked up 4 of the ST9972 filters today and noticed a change to the filter they show on the box. The media is whiter in color when compared to the one I have left, that was purchased last summer.

Is Fram endurance still one of the best buy's for cartridge filter?

Thanks for the suggestions. I want to switch over to doing 6 month (about 3500 miles) OCI on the Toyota with one filter change out a year. Would the OEM filter or the ST9972 work better for that?

Thoughts on only changing oil filter every other oil change

With me driving the Mazda CX3 less these days (about 3k a year) I’ve decided to go to using a PG4612EX for two oil changes. In the spring a new filter goes on, then 6 months later in the fall I’ll only need to use the oil extractor for the OC.

Is Fram endurance still one of the best buy's for cartridge filter?

I received this FE9972 yesterday from a Walmart order that was delivered. It definitely slipped through QC coming down the line. At first I thought the end caps were glued on at an angle above the filter material but it looks more like the material wasn’t cut straight. Anyways, I chatted with a...
