TBN was 2.1 and there was a little fuel dilution, but they said it was not something to worry about.

i dont know the condition of the filters, but the only ones I use are Fram Ultras. As for the sound on start up there is a clicking from the high pressure fuel pump until warm (which was already replaced once) but other than that, no noticeable sounds.

Ahh answered my own question. So am I to gather that to reduce lspi the oil essentially has to be a certain clinginess to the engine upon startup?

I see it more and more and notice it meets dexos 2. Is this a good oil for a 7k run? Any comparison to pennzoil platinum who I will likely stop using when dexos 2 is mandated for GM warranty. Thanks

Went to a website stating the list of approved oils is changing for dexos warranty soon. It seemed at first glance they were eliminating most syn blends and paring down the approved oils (I assume many companies don't want to pay to be dexos approved). Based on how I read this list only euro...

If I do a 6k run non severe driving on a pennzoil gold semi syn vs a platinum full syn would you think it would make any difference over a 300k engine lifetime? In other words do you think I can get that much out of my engine either way? Many of the bitogs seem to get wound up about how long...
