Our 60 series run on Delo 10w30 with no bypass filtration run 32kand drains along with the ISX. Mack E-7 and ACET operate on 28k drains with factory spinner. We currently have some older E7 engines with over 1.9 million on them without pulling heads or pan off.

High soot levels in 12.7l detroit 60 series

Even with our EGR and DPF equipped 60 series and ISX's we run 32000 miles drains with Delo 400. EGR equipped Macks run 27000 miles. We have engines with well over 1 million miles on them and have not been touched internally. It does a great job keeping the soot in suspension.

I have never ran this truck bone stock. When I traded in my 05 to the 06, we removed a Quad race box from the old truck and installed in on the 06 right in the dealership's service department . With the addition of the current programming, modified crankshaft sensors, and high boost levels, the...

Here is the results of the Schaeffer 9000 5w-40 in my 06 Dodge with a 5.9 Cummins. The oil fill went in Oct. 4. It surpassed heavy hauling, cold starts with no block heater, extensive slow idle, etc. The filter used was Fleetguard LF16035 with no filter change and only 1 qt of make up oil. Total...

The oil is now CI-4+ rated. So warranty will not be an issue. The truck has a Quad race box installed.

    help ... new ... question(s) ... JD 2305 HDEO

I work for a JD dealer. Unless you are going to run the unit in colder temps. 15w-40 is the preferred oil for the engine. We have 100's of the little Yanmar engine out in service that have ran JD Plus 50 oil in the them with over 5000+hrs and no problems.

    new Cat Gen question

Get the 10-30 out of the crankcase. The engines will have extra blowby until fully broken in. How much KW is the engines running at? Go ahead and change out the oil and install the Schaeffer 7000.

    Exercise Interval for Emergency Generators

I agree with Larry also. I was a gen. tech for a Cat dealer for several years before moving over to a prime power plant. If you do not have enough base load to fully load the engines or at least 75%/750*F exhaust temp. at the turbo, the units will at least need to be load banked once a year to...
