What's the shelf life of Mobil 1 Supersyn ?? Can get it for really cheap right now so wondeing if I should stock up on it. also can you open a 4.4L jug, use 3.6L and then keep the remaining litre ?? or do you have to throw it out ??

thanks for the info guys i dont really NEED group IV it's just this is the first new car that my family's gotten in like 8 years so i wanna take care of it, the previous cars havn't been neglected but they wern't pampered either i figure if i'm gonna pay 30-40 something dollars for an oil...

What brands currently use group IV base oils in their motor oils (specifically 5w20). I've heard that mobil 1 is both group III and IV from various sources and the only amsoil product in 5w20 is group III iirc. I have been unable to find information on Royal purple either. Please help.
