    M1 0W-40 vs Kirkland 5W30 UOA Results

Thank you for this information. I’ve been debating using 0w30 ESP in my new Honda pilot also so this would simplify things only having one oil to stock but not a big deal either way.

I wasn’t planning on doing a UOA with the VRP but I could do that for sure!

    M1 0W-40 vs Kirkland 5W30 UOA Results

The M1 0w40 was run from Jan 25 to Apr 13 The Kirkland was run from Apr 13 to Jul 14 So yes the the M1 would have had more cold starts for sure, great job picking that up, I was going going to mention that in the OP and should have.

    M1 0W-40 vs Kirkland 5W30 UOA Results

I noticed the Iron as well. I think another UOA would have to be done to confirm that result in my opinion. I guess the question is, stick with 200hrs and Kirkland or go longer with the M1 0W40

    M1 0W-40 vs Kirkland 5W30 UOA Results

My interpertation is the M1 0W40 at 239hrs has more additive pack left and higher TBN than the Kirkland at 198hrs. Maybe I go 300hrs on the M1 0W40? I do live pretty far north, can see temps as low as -40C/F so perhaps some benefit with the 0W in the winter as well.

    M1 0W-40 vs Kirkland 5W30 UOA Results

UOA from my 2020 Ford F350 7.3L Gas The truck spends more time idling than driving so I base my OCI on hours rather than mileage. About 4 years ago I decided to just use Kirkland 5w30 and change the oil often (200hrs) until recently I saw a great deal on Mobil 1 0W40 FS so I bought enough for a...

    2025 Honda Pilot

I thought so. The Pilots, CRV and vans seem to go within a week on dealer lots so there isn't much negotiating to be done, it's a fine line. Seems Honda and Toyota sales persons have a pretty easy job.

    Checks When Buying New Car

I didn't ask what to ask oneself before buying a car, I asked what to check when picking up a new car. FWIW I paid cash and have been researching this decision for about 3 years or more. We historically keep our cars for over 10 years.

    2025 Honda Pilot

Thanks for sharing, for what it's worth my dealer hit us with a lot of those BS fees and add ons. About 3K worth total. I got them down to $750 but it took some doing, walked away twice. Ended up getting a 2025 Touring(what is called the Elite in the US, it's the top trim) with winter package...

Asking for help from someone in the USA

Thanks, @marc1 @tcp71 The issue isn't the shipping address its the billing address has to match my CC and they don't give a option for a non-US address entry. Looking like our guy @Pablo is going to get this done for me so I should be good. Appreciate all the help guys!

Asking for help from someone in the USA

Wouldn't be too bad I don't think. I'm just a sucker for having the "right tool for the job" and a tool addict.

PM inbound. The reason I prefer USPS is UPS/Fedex will add on undisclosed fees at the time of delivery, usually very high fees.
