They should be able to order gen 2 now. Has to be from a cummins dealer directly. Gen 1 isn't being made anymore. Whatever is left is what dealers have on stock however gen 2 will have better wear protection. Less calcium and magnesium to compete with the zinc and phosphorus.

They both clean however they are completely different chemistries. Everything about them is different besides them cleaning. Lake literally says that in the video. Oxidation value is also 100 different as well which is a huge indication of being completely different... Re-watch the video with...

Yes it is. Code J in the pick up truck are the L86 6.2 ecotec engine which is a LT platform engine. Not an LS. Everything about that engine is completely different from a LS platform. They are also spec to run a 0w20 viscosity.
