    SAE30 in OHV?

I have enough 30W for three oil changes so I will just keep using it. The manufacturers recommendation is for 30w above 40 degrees anyways, and since the grass don't grow in the winter a multi-vis is not needed I guess.

    SAE30 in OHV?

I just bought a new craftsman professional self propelled with the 7.75 OHV briggs. I have always used either rotella or briggs 30W in the old flathead 5hp briggs on my old murray. Is this still a good choice for the OHV engines? Would 5w30 synthetic be better, or maybe RTS 5w40?

Motorcraft 5w20 Synthetic Blend Base Oil Research

In looking at the specs ford gives for the full and semi syns. There is really small differences in the numbers. Maybe someone can comment on whether these differences are significant since most are a few percentage points MC Synthetic Blend/MC Full Synthetic Specific Gravity 0.861/0.852...

    Motorcraft Full Synthetic

Is there any significant difference between the full and semi syn MC oil? The syn blend is so easy to get since it is available at wal-mart.

    free old mower-need help

I had a starter solenoid out on the old rider that I used to use. Until I found a new one I took the little screen off the flywheel and wrapped a piece of rope around the little "cup" in the center and started it the really old fashioned way. It was only a 12.5hp briggs but I would have to use...

    Clean Machine Non-Stick Mower Protectant

Update I finally have time to write that I was somewhat unimpressed with the stuff. I will say that the underside of the deck was fairly clean but the grass was really dry. There was a bit of dirt stuck to the bottom (from a couple of gopher mounds). I think that it may have helped some, but I...

    Clean Machine Non-Stick Mower Protectant

I dont know about silicone. The old mower was starting to rust and pit kinda bad and I was going to just paint it. I saw this stuff at Lowes and thought that I would try it. If it doesn't work I will just take drill and wire brush to it and clean it off and paint it anyway. My yard has a lot of...

    Clean Machine Non-Stick Mower Protectant

http://www.goodvibrationsgrip.com/clean-machine/ Anyone ever try this stuff? I bought a can and sprayed it on the old push mower yesterday. I'll have to wait a week to see if it works. I mowed the day before. I let it dry overnight and it still felt sticky. I'm not sure that a can of regular...

    Rotella T SAE 30, CF-4/SJ

I'm not that sure about all this oil analysis stuff. Would this Rotella 30w be better or worse in a 5hp briggs compared to B&S 30w from this VOA? http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1470947#Post1470947

    Homemade Quadra-Cut?

Does anyone know if you can put two blades on any mower like Honda does on theirs? I have an old murray push mower that has a single round hole for a bolt and two flat pieces that sandwich the blade. I thought about putting two blades on it just to see what it would do. It still runs really good...

    Lincoln navigator

I have ramps that I purchased at walmart that I use under my 08 f150 4x4 supercrew. They work just fine and I believe they are rated for 3k lbs. each. Your Navigator won't be much heavier than a truck

    Murray mower

Taking the bowl off the carburator and cleaning out the old gas sometimes works for me. You can also see if the float is working properly. Some mowers don't have a float in the carb. If you can take the carb off and spray carb cleaner in all the ports and stuff it will run a lot better. The...
