Reusing Oil Filter during Oil Change, but Dumping Old Oil Out?

After doing an oil change on my X3M Comp yesterday, I can't say I disagree with the OP on this. Filter access is terrible and literally triples, or more, the time it takes to do the oil change. Considering leaving it in for two changes which would be ~two years/13-14k miles.

    Walmart oil prices - Ah!

I noticed the sale prices on oil at CT is basically what the normal prices were a month or two ago. $52.99 upcoming sale price for Quaker State Full Synthetic.

    Battery Longevity

I put an Interstate MTP into my MkVI GTI back in April of 2014. I sold that car to my coworker in the spring of 2018, he still has it. He needed to replace the battery a couple weeks ago and that Interstate was still in it. I couldn't believe it.

Canada: Are EFB batteries not readily available locally? Is AGM equivalent?

I believe they perform better but not necessarily last longer

Canada: Are EFB batteries not readily available locally? Is AGM equivalent?

Does anyone know of an application that an AGM comes in the engine bay from the factory? Seems most all of them are inside the car. I believe EFB/flooded handles underhood temps much better and could be another reason the manufacturers uses them instead of AGM.

Canada: Are EFB batteries not readily available locally? Is AGM equivalent?

I notice both Canadian Tire and Napa both show AGM for this appplication (same battery, East Penn). They both put a five year free replacement on it as well. I then found this from East Penn themselves...

Canada: Are EFB batteries not readily available locally? Is AGM equivalent?

I just called Interstate here locally in Vancouver. They have three EFB sizes listed on their website, but don't stock any. They can be ordered and brought in in 3-4 days though. They do not have a group 35 but I know the 24F also works with a battery tray swap...

Canada: Are EFB batteries not readily available locally? Is AGM equivalent?

At least in the Subaru it says "for start/stop" on it.

Canada: Are EFB batteries not readily available locally? Is AGM equivalent?

I'm having the same problem. My wife's Forester uses group 35 EFB. The only thing I have found is Canadian Energy having one for $300. I'm not a huge fan of replacing with an AGM in the engine bay, but I don't know what other options there are aside from buying the CE battery or OE.

Why cant people see things objectively

Are you really sure? I seem to recall some guy Sieg Heiling in the Capitol, twice, then becoming head of government efficiency, and having his net worth increase about 400% since then.

    Home Exterior Colors

Our house used to have natural colored shingles but they started looking grungy after ~12 years so we cleaned them all up and painted them green. (Sorry for the Street View pic, it's all I have). Not really too concerned about resale and all that. It's our house, I'm going to do what I want...

Why do people strongly opine about topics they know nothing about?

The passenger car section is Dunning-Kruger defined. I rarely post there anymore. I think people are also simply afraid of being wrong, don't like being told their way is wrong, and don't like change - So they will vehemently defend the way they do something/have always done something rather...
