What are you listening to right now?

It's not the 38 Special that I grew up with, and Don Barnes is the only remaining/surviving original member but this is a very good song here. Album release date is Sept. 18th.

    RIP Mick Ralphs

Another good one gone. He was sick though, and had a stroke in 2016 that ended his guitar playing. I have been a Bad Co. fan since the 70's. I am sorry that Mick and so many others are gone now. RIP. https://ultimateclassicrock.com/mick-ralphs-dead/

    Cable TV and Costs?

Cable tv prices got really bad here a few years ago so my wife and I bought a Roku Streaming Stick. Our tv is about 9 years old but still has a great picture. Our tv can work with wi-fi apps but the Roku is much easier to use. We pay $83.00 a month for Hulu with live tv so we can see local news...

Decided to Try a Carquest Premium.

That's what I had to do too. I changed my oil 2 weeks ago with a CQ Premium and Valvoline 0W20 and AAP did not have the filter on the shelf. I asked for it at the counter and the guy brought one out from the back. I opened the box and checked it out before paying for it though. It was $39.00 and...

    Post your latest oil change

No, not at all. In fact the ST 0W20 I drained out today was still a healthy amber color. My Rogue is a CPO car that I bought from the local Nissan dealer and it was covered under the Nissan CPO Extended Warranty until that expired last month. But while it was under that CPO warranty I had to...

    Post your latest oil change

My 2018 Nissan Rogue, 67,400 miles on the car, 8 months and about 3700 miles on the OCI. I changed it a little early because my wife and I are going on vacation next month and will probably drive maybe 800 miles, give or take a few. I also rotated my tires today and set all 4 tires to 35 psi...

    New tool thread

I picked up a few things at HF today. I bought this Icon pick set because my old Snap-On set is, well, it's old and worn out and the right angle pick has had a broken tip for a long time now. The HF pick set is made in Taiwan, is very good quality and the handles are bigger than the Snap-On...

Bitdefender stopping programs from loading or slowly

Yes I saw that just now, sorry. I will still say BD is pretty good but I had slow browsing when I tried BD too. That was with BD Free and also BD Antivirus Plus. Avast and AVG slowed me down too, even with 16 GB of ram. Windows Defender really is all you need.

Bitdefender stopping programs from loading or slowly

Bitdefender is a good antivirus but it uses a lot of memory. You need at least 16 GB of ram to use BD without it slowing you down. BD writes a lot of update data to your hard drive/SSD too. The built-in Windows Security/Windows Defender is very good nowadays, its protection is just as good as...

    Harbor freight electrical tape

The best answer I ever heard for that is the 88 is thicker so it is less resistant to freezing and cracking in really cold weather. It is also supposed to be easier to peel off the roll in cold weather. I also think I heard somewhere that 88 is more sticky than 33 so that helps it do better in...

    Supermarket prices

We had Piggly Wiggly in Macon, Georgia when I was a kid. We had A&P and Kroger too. I remember going to an old Kroger store with my grandfather. I don't know if Piggly Wiggly is still around, have not been back to Georgia or South Carolina in a very long time. I do remember people in Savannah...

    RIP Actor Gene Hackman

Very sorry to hear about this. He was a good actor and played great tough guy roles. Hoosiers was my favorite movie of his but Mississippi Burning was good too. My wife loves The Birdcage movie. RIP.

    TS/Hurricane Milton

We lost power at 10:30 last night and it's still off now with no ETA from Duke Energy. We hope it will be back on soon but there are a lot of people also without power. We have canned food, fruit, crackers, peanut butter, bread, lots of water etc on hand and we have a brand new full propane tank...
