Thanks, it wouldn't be impossible to fit a larger filter, but space is lacking. Wix 51269 currently installed.

Based on the appearance of the glue, I don't think the joint was ever together.

After setting rear endplay to 0.005" (rollerized) and torquing the Center Support bolt, when rotating the output shaft it has a slight bind in the same location relative to the case. It's not so tight that it can't be turned past it by hand, but it's there. It takes more effort to rotate past it...
