    New chainsaw with catalytic converter

My Husqvarna line trimmer is nearly 10 years old and has a catalyst pellet in the muffler. I run 40:1 with no issues. Every once in a while I'll work it hard to burn out the gum. If it clogged I always thought that I'd soak it in carb cleaner, but I have not had to do that yet.

    Scope for auto diagnosis

I've been toying with the idea of getting a scope for multiple uses to include automotive, motorcycles, RC hobbies, etc... I decided on Hantek scopes. https://www.circuitspecialists.com/blog/best-entry-level-hantek-oscilloscopes/ https://www.circuitspecialists.com/digital-storage-oscilloscopes...

    10,000mi OCI for a 2020 4Runner?

I have an '18 4runner. Using 5W-30 in it since the first oil change, which I did myself. 5K intervals. The Maint. light reminds me. I may stretch out to 7500. On another subject, don't forget your drive shaft grease points, there are 5 or 6. I had read on the 4runner forums that some dealers...

    Bike racks

Been using a Saris Thelma 2 for many years (8-9), I think it's been discontinued. It has a large bolt that goes through the receiver to draw up the slack. Light enough that I can hang it on my garage wall. Bikes are stable with no damage. https://www.saris.com/product/thelma-2

    Best Batt Maintainer

I have a bunch of the old Yuasa transformer style, 1 failed (all LEDs out) in the last 2 years, it was probably 10 years old. I have a newer Yuasa transformerless unit connected to my Mustang, so far so good. I had an older optimate (2005 vintage) fail (all LEDs out), but another about the same...

Huge oil leak repair: 2001 Blazer 4x4

My wife bought a new S-10 bazer ZR2 in 2000. It was back to the dealer for oil leaks under warranty more times than I can remember. I tried to get her to trade it for a new 4-runner in 2002. She wouldn't have any of it because the 4-runner was a 4-door. I told her after the warranty was up I...

Took apart air hammer, nothing inside, simple

Been using MMO since the 70's. Don't ever recall a failure. I always associate the smell with the use of air tools.

Using a trim router for cutting sheetrock

If you are hanging a lot of drywall, then a roto-zip or similar makes sense. Fast and perfect cuts every time. I don't think they work well with the blue plastic boxes. I usually use the beige fiberglass boxes.
