    WIX XP oil filter leaking....

I had a Wix weep on my former Mazda 6, a car like the Subaru that requires a high bypass pressure rated oil filter. Perhaps they are having issues with this line of filters. I ended up using Mobile1 m-108 filters from then on, never had an issue after the switch. I also have a 2019 Subaru...

EA888 how many go by the 10k mile factory recommended OCI...

Use the right oil (508?) and go to 10k miles, and then get a Used Oil Analysis. Everything is opinion, but a UOA will bring some fact into the discussion. I changed mine at 5k miles, but it is a GLI and I am not too gentle, so just being safe. I will get a UOA soon.

Your thoughts on extended car warranties....

I would open a bank account and deposit the money that you were going to spend on the extended warranty in it. And every time you are offered one for a refrigerator or cell phone or whatever, throw that cashbib as well. Stop the deposits when it hits $5,000 (or whatever you are comfortable with)...

    Oil for a 212k 3.7 Liberty

No oil cooler on the Liberty - at least not in my 2006. By 220,000 miles it was using 1 qt every 2k miles or so. Never a drop in the ground, seems to have been valve stem seals.

    Tire rotation on AWD

If your alignment is good then don't rotate unless you have to. A tire tread gauge is like $3 and can save you a bunch of work. Just rotate when it's needed.

    VW oil is found where?

Hey new VW owner! Your oil is extremely high quality from the factory and you can take it to 10,000 miles for each change according to the book, so you have time. Just be sure to check the oil every 1,000 miles until you are used to any oil consumption. I am doing mine at 5,000 miles but it is...

Anyone do a trans flush on a 2014 Ford Fusion using Trans line?

How do you fill it? Is there a tube or do you have a plug in the side? My Jeep had a tube and I used an oil extractor. Took 3 quarts out, put 3 in. Drive around the block. Do it 2 more times - fluid looked good as new. And that Jeep Liberty had no transmission issues in the 220,000 miles I had...

    Michelin A/S3+ or Conti DWS06

I have had both on the front of my Mazda 6. I vote for the DWS tires. Main reason being that I got better traction in the rain with them over the AS3+ tires. This was not a dramatic difference but noticable. Having said that, since you have a winter tire set I would go with a dedicated summer...

    Mazda 2.5L Skyactiv 0W-20?

I had a 2015 Mazda 6 from 2014 (took the plastic off at the dealer) till 2019 (145k miles). Such a nice car, loved owning it. As you can tell I did a lot of driving in it. Hit 16 states in all - the longest trip was from NJ to Wyoming on a roadtrip vacation. Oil: I did 5k mile OCIs its entire...
