48v but a rather large 1.3kwhr capacity?. Most packs of that size are 4-5x the voltage. Not very efficient from what I know so maybe that's why the efficiency sucked for what it should be. Maybe Mercedes wanted to avoid a large generator like on those high voltage hybrids? but that's a bit half...
Go the extra step and get a suburban.
Look far and wide use cars.com, cargurus and others and don't be afraid to book a ticket to pick it up and a one or even two night if needed when bringing it back. Just make sure you check the dealer website for the specific one after finding it on those...
Also need nulog or at least very thick silicone oil because cheap hoses and fittings on the cheap manifold and pump leak like sieves and usually need to be tightened to death to get them to vacuum correctly so that helps to seal it so you can pull a good vacuum but I think most parts stores rent...
Maybe cut the fitting off and put another barb with an internal or even external thread and thread something on to seal it. Could also put a barb valve so you can turn it to drain. You are holding the hex on the hose behind the drain cap so it all doesn't spin right?
The first most important thing is that the diameters aren't different from each other like a 55/16 over here, a 50/16 there, and a 45/16 over there which will cause an issue likely triggering an ABS light within a few minutes of driving and staying on forever on most modern vehicles at least...
I keep forgetting that they made the Colorado with a V8. They could have put a 6.0 or 6.2 in this since the outside dimensions are about identical to the 5.3 with a beefier 4L75 or 6l80 and it would have been a flying little truck.
The 5.7 3ur fe was equipped in middle eastern SUV land cruisers and those owners manuals listed everything from 0w-20 to 20w-50 so no it's not too thick. 10 cst 5w-30 is still thin.
