What plugs, If they were counterfeit which happens even at local parts stores due to scum bags returning fake junk they know is fake that might be the issue. Someone on here saw that at the store they worked at. Other than that I wonder if the maf isn't metering right. Unplug and drive it for a...
I'd use Castrol transmax sold in jugs at walmart. 7cst so it's a bit thicker and it's smooth operating. But people use gl4 75w-90 and say it's the best for shifting so maybe that or 75w-85. I think that's for later zf6's so i don't know if there are internal differences in the zf6 in old and...
I think he was referring to correcting himself after the fact by saying "Should of said" but didn't put the i first.
I don't always put the letter I when saying something either so I sometimes confuse others and even confuse myself when reading my stuff a year or more later and wondering if I...
Seems to be the case. The m1 warren filters are about identical to the pgi ones in appearance and quality control so they probably do use their factory capacity.
HD 30 and 10w-40 would be my choice, comes out to $2.60 a quart. But the better 15w-40 in buckets are 2.50 a quart too. A shame we've got no rural king in Texas I know I'd love the place.
Correct but it's both. Warren contracts with pg to produce their filters. https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/prime-guard-oil-filters-now-under-highline-warren.391674/
Restriction is never an issue. If it is the filter is clogged with 40k mile old oil and is full of sludge. The new m1's are made by premium guard so they're good. There's other options made by PG that'll be the same but less due to not having the mobil tax on them.
I remember reading about waxes called optima or optimum that claimed to have uv inhibitors and I think some variation of colinite wax also claimed uv protection but you'd have to reapply either monthly I'd imagine. I have no experience with either. I use griots 3 in 1 and have been for years i...
Any full syn 15w-40 not t6 would be good. He could use delo xsp, delvac extreme, or valvoline hd fs but m1 15w-50 is a great oil so I think he should run that instead of vr1 and rotella.
How cold does it get. The purpose of it is to allow for very fast and accurate abs operation in the cold. But this is for when abs activates not regular driving. In warm/hot days there's no discernable difference even with that low viscosity stuff and dot 3 if you were to try to test it...
I believe the guys at hpl have tested their own 10 speeds with their thicker LV fluid and found no issues if used instead of the ULV which they also sell. The additive packs are the same if I recall and the viscosity is the only difference but it's too small to matter. It would increase fuel...
I'd use off the shelf full syn euro/diesel oils except St euro or T6. Give the new valvoline HD FS diesel a try. 4.3 hths is nice and the ad pack is high on zinc and phos. Can't go wrong with delvac extreme or delo xsp either.
