My '99 Legacy GT wagon got only Mobil 1 full-synthetic right from the very first oil change. It didn't consume any oil until it reached about 100k miles. Switching to HM version of Mobil 1 cured that.

Extra pressure tank which probably only provides about 20 gallons additional surge capacity was the wrong solution to low-volume well problem. Proper solution would be a holding tank. In my area where wells commonly only produce 2-3 gpm, in-ground holding tanks about 2000 gal capacity are used.

The Q400 is an amazing airplane. Cruise speed of 350-410 mph which is comparable to a P-51 Mustang!

Re Silicon: The Wix is reputed to be a very good air filter but perhaps fit is an issue here. Could try installing an OEM air filter right now so the next UOA will reflect the change. Also, check that the air box is clean when new filter installed. I don't recall seeing other Subaru UOAs with...

New data: Endurance FE7317 on shelf at Walmart today has very recent June 21, 2024 production date and has metal center tube with louvers; Amsoil EA15K13 recently received has same 2/23/2024 production date as previous filter, still has E-core.
