    2012 F-250 6.2L gas engine oil

Thanks guys for the responses. I ended up getting the QSUD 5W-30. 7 quarts + a Motorcraft oil filter for $35 after tax, not bad. I’ll give it a try and see how it goes. I remember reading somewhere about how Ford back specced the oil for this truck and am the new ones call for 5W-30 now, that’s...

    2012 F-250 6.2L gas engine oil

I have a 2012 Ford Super Duty 6.2L V8 gas motor truck. I’ve been putting in 5W-20 synthetic blend Motorcraft engine oil since I’ve owned it the past year or two. It’s due for an oil change again soon, I’m just deciding what to go with. From posts I’ve heard on here that Motorcraft oil is very...

Outboard oil safe to use in lawn mower?

Thanks everyone, I will go ahead and use the Mercury Marine oil. Sounds like it's pretty robust stuff.

Outboard oil safe to use in lawn mower?

I have about 6 quarts of old, unopened Mercury Marine 10W-30 4 cycle outboard motor oil laying around, do nat have an outboard that uses that anymore. The riding mower is due for an oil change soon and uses 10W-30, it's a new Kawasaki 18.5 hp engine in it. Can I use the outboard oil safely in...

    Best oil for a 2015 Ford Fiesta 1.6L Non-Turbo 4 cyl

I used to have the same year, engine, and transmission Fiesta as you before I got my ST. I beat the snot out of that little car, it saw WOT redline gear changes every time I drove it. That 1.6 engine is not hard on oil and any quality name brand synthetic should get you to 10k easily. I used...

    Oil for Focus ST?

I just found some Pennzoil Platinum 5W30 that I need today, it's even the new SN Plus stuff with the "reformulated for turbocharged engines" sticker on it. How different is this from the outgoing Platinum regular SN stuff that I have in my car now?

    Oil for Focus ST?

Yeah for whatever reason, the local Walmart and other stores always seem to keep the Platinum in 0W20, 5W20, 10W30, and basically anything other than 5W30. Idk if they just sell a lot of it and are always sold out of it, of if they just don't stock much of it to begin with. If I see any on the...

    Oil for Focus ST?

Well thank you all for the replies, looks like I will likely just stick with the Pennzoil Platinum I am currently using, if I can find it (for some odd reason, 5W30 in this oil is really hard to find near me), or else Castrol Edge or Magnatec synthetic as my second choice if I can not find the...

    Oil for Focus ST?

I haven't seen any threads for the Focus ST (2.0 direct injected turbo, mine is stock) lately since some oils have updated formulas recently. Based on VOAs and UOAs here, what would be the "best" oil for my ST? I would like recommendations for full synthetic, widely available oils. Like...

Which "Full Synthetic" oils are Group 4 PAO?

I was mostly just curious, to be honest. People on this site seem to praise PAO and say things like Group III is not "real" synthetic and stuff lile that. I just wanted to know what, or even if, you could buy anything at Walmart or the parts stores that has a decent amount of PAO in it...

Which "Full Synthetic" oils are Group 4 PAO?

Hmmm, interesting. I knew a majority of the off the shelf synthetic would be mostly Group III, but I didn't realize that basically only the higher end blends of Mobil1 and maybe Royal Purple were the only readily available oils that have a high concentration of PAO. So my understanding is that...

Which "Full Synthetic" oils are Group 4 PAO?

More specifically, which readily available, off the shelf oils that you would buy at Walmart or the auto parts stores are actually Group IV PAO Full Synthetics? I found some older threads that sort of contradict each other, and I've noticed lots of oils have changed packaging, names, and...

    1968 Cub 124 - Kohler K301 carburetor issues?

Alright, so I tried adjusting the carb today and it no longer stalls out, also runs very good at low to mid RPMs, but it still pops and bangs and backfires at high RPM. It also seems like it runs very hot, although I do not have an IR thermometer gun to actually measure the temps.

    1968 Cub 124 - Kohler K301 carburetor issues?

Thank you all, I'll try adjusting and using a fuel cleaner first. Then take it apart and clean if that doesn't work. I really hope it isn't a valve issue. It seems to run pretty good once it warms up and you get it to a certain RPM range. It's just when the engine speeds gets above or below that...

    1968 Cub 124 - Kohler K301 carburetor issues?

I'll give that a shot, thank you. I knew the two screws on the carb adjusted the air/fuel mix but I didn't know which one does what. This was really helpful. I'll try and adjust it and maybe run some fuel cleaner through the tank first, and if it doesn't, then I'll take it apart and try and see...
