RAV4 hybrid is the king in this segment. Smooth, powerful, crazy reliable, and sips fuel. My 2020 RAV4 Hybrid has had zero repair trips to the dealer and I’m at 107K miles.
Thanks guys. Got a quote of $2000 including a Franklin pump. Depth and horsepower estimate was way off. The old one was a 1/2 HP Franklin from 1997 and a similar unit is going in.
Looks like I may have to replace my well pump. I’ll be looking at 1HP 240V, 2-wire models from reputable manufacturers. Does anyone have any recent quotes for this type of job?
No idea. It’s still on its original coils and going on 200K now. All that was changed was the fuel filter and it has been running fine since then. My sister drives it as her commutermobile.
Warning fatigue is more accurate. I’ve personally experienced thousands of flood warnings and have never been affected by a flood, so I and many others ignore them. Meanwhile, I’ve only experienced a handful of tornado warnings in my lifetime and have had my house hit by one, had to speed away...
We were just discussing things like this at work the other day. States and localities used to employ flood alarms and sirens but they have been largely discontinued in the 80s and 90s as the NWS became more capable of predicting events due to the availability of Doppler radar. But because NWS...

I have TTX control arms on my 2004 F-150 and yes, they are beefy and seem well made. Time will tell. I also put the TTX sway bar end links onto my 2020 Toyota RAV4; they are way stiffer than the factory end links and really took the play out of my front end.
As for their mid level line...
How on earth did this thread devolve into a Toyota VS everything else debate? Disregard, back on topic.
I personally think that the The Big Three will shift strongly towards gas guzzlers only to get bitten the next time gas goes over $4/gallon. I think the Korean and Japanese brands will...
