Your thoughts on new Camry or 2013 Accord

hmmm. I've owned a 2013 Accord Sport for about 2 months now. After 5000 miles, I love it. If I had to buy the CVT version, I'd be a little more concerned about how long it would last vs the manual tranny. I've been getting about 33 mpg (us) so far. I love the handling as well. Perhaps it's the...

Recommended oil for Honda Accord 2013

Actually, the 2013 accord engines are not even close to the same engines as 2012 and previous. Speaking about the I4, even the block has changed. The engine is lighter and has the exhaust coming out of the front of the engine now. The angles for the valves have changed, as has the offset for the...

    Late model Honda Accord

F.Y.I. I own an Accord Sport I4 with the 6 speed manual transmission and it does 0-60 in 6.7 sec's - that's not a MASSIVE difference compared to the V6. What is massive, is the fact that I get 34 mpg average. I've had 0 issues with my car. It's great. I LOVE it. Just my 2 cents.

    Late model Honda Accord

I own a 2013 Honda Accord sport 4 cyl and I LOVE it. I picked one with a manual 6 speed. I only have 4000km on it, but not a drop of oil use in that time. With careful driving I'm getting 35.5 mpg (us) on this tank of gas, but usually get 33.6. For Canadians that's 6.6 l/100km or 7.0 l/100km...

Which oils have Infinium Tri-nuclear moly / advice

Caterham, Wow, It's good to know all this info. It helps a lot. I've seen it as low as -40 in Edmonton at times, but -30 to -35 is a very common temp for my area in the Winter. Looks like the Toyota oil is the best bang for the buck for sure. Probably no reason to go with the Mazda / Petro...

Which oils have Infinium Tri-nuclear moly / advice

Caterham, Thanks for the welcome, and for your advice. You seem to know a lot about oils, and I think I understand why you recommend the High Viscosity Index oils. I've seen first hand how highly refined thin oil can be more beneficial than thicker oils in printers. Since I've purchased the...

Which oils have Infinium Tri-nuclear moly / advice

Great responses. Chubbs1 - Mobile 1 and Mobil 1 EP are significantly more money for me here in Canada than most other oils. My Amsoil Signature Series is $3.00 less than M1. Tudorart - I'm still considering the Toyota oil, it will depend on price in the end. pbm - I don't trust CVT's to be...

Which oils have Infinium Tri-nuclear moly / advice

I believe AMSOIL is a great product as well. That's why I purchased a case. It has more moly then most, it's somewhere around 150 ppm. I have free oil changes at the dealership for the life of the Vehicle, but I know they are using bulk oil for these changes. I was planning on asking them to put...

Which oils have Infinium Tri-nuclear moly / advice

I just purchased a new 2013 Honda Accord 2 months ago. It seems most users believe Honda's like a very low viscosity 0w20 formulation with high moly content. Picking one is not so easy, since 150 ppm of the new Tri-nuclear type moly is much more effective then the older type of moly where 600+...
