The battery tested good at AA(CCA were a little low), but decided to replace it. No problems starting with the new battery.

No acid on or around the battery.

After my testing, I was sure the AutoZone test was wrong.

My youngest son will be 16 soon, so I’ve been looking for a decent first car. Most on marketplace are high mileage junk, trying to find a balance between condition and cost.

CARFAX shows regular oil changes but only one transmission flush at 30,000. The dealer has it listed for too much money at $6000. Might be worth a taking it for a test drive.

Anyone have any experience with these? It has the 3.8L with 130,000 miles. Are the engine and transmission reliable?

The theft angle on these cars is concerning. I'll have to check insurance rates on it.

It does have a keyed ignition.

I'm tempted to take a look at a 2017 Kia Forte with the 2.0 and 6 AT with 104,000 miles. Is this a solid engine/trans combination?

We were able to get the car for $1500, from my wife's coworker. It was a deal we couldn't pass up.

I took a quick look at it last night. It is a well maintained car with regular oil changes and transmission service records. The 2.5 feels like a strong motor.
