GR Corolla, 3cyl 1.6T AWD, manual, 300 hp

That car has a few mods, but still very impressive, even down the straights.

Need torque spec for the four front crossmember bolts of a 2012 Yukon

Probably you should use new bolts as well as I think those must be Torque To Yield?

Due to staff shortage the self-checkout is closed

I think some big items can have stuck on bar codes? Or you just scan something cheap instead of the big ticket item? Canadian tire (its like walmart with slightly better chinese junk) is getting rid of its self serve tills due to dealing with large items and thefts. At least locally its...

Beater: Should I buy this car?

Sounds OK to me, it would be nice if didn't need so much work, but if your market has a nice looking one for $6k+, then I guess its worth fixing up. Is the interior OK? I suspect they would take a bit less, just to get rid of it without a hassle... Up here that car wouldn't sell all that fast...

GR Corolla, 3cyl 1.6T AWD, manual, 300 hp

The reviews I've seen is that its pretty entertaining on the road too, and for lots of people in the rustbelt, fwd or awd are needed for commuting. Its a hothatch, not a GT car, its going to fill a niche for the 20-50k people in the US who think WRC is cool enough to play along with the home...

GR Corolla, 3cyl 1.6T AWD, manual, 300 hp

I dunno, 5 second 0-60, manual transmission only, 187.5 hp/L, AWD with dual LSD, and with Corolla reliability(hopefully)? Seems OK to me.

    Crazy dealer add on

I often pump the brakes a few times when I'm at a near standstill waiting to turn left off of a highway, or coming up to stop and go traffic on the freeway, just a few more chances to catch the attention of the potential texter behind me going full speed still... I've never been close to being...

A PSA About those tire TINS and date codes: Installers, It's Dates Out, for ALL tires.

I find on my directional snow tires they don't put the date code on both sides, and I don't seeing it on both sides my other tires either? It seems every time I go to look for the date code I always find the blank side first! Its like buttered toast falling on the floor....

Dog Breeding - "Business" - rules and regs

Do the dogs see you and then bark? if the owners seem pretty reasonable you could go over and introduce yourself to them and their dogs, and then they should see you as part of the extended "flock" after that and probably not bark when you are out. Almost all of the livestock guardian breeds...

Do people in other countries have high milage cars?

I think the US would have the most percentage of people doing very long commutes by car as cheap gas and lots of roads allows for single person car commuting to even quite low paying jobs. This isn't the case in most countries. In southern ontario I see only a few cars with 200k miles for...

    Fast food dynamic pricing?

I guess real restaurants have lunch menus and dinner menus, which usually have lunch burgers being cheaper than dinner for the same basic thing. Also if Wendys display realtime pricing on their apps they probably will be able to spread out the peaks in their demand. Also I think the industry...

    "New" dog day

Yep it is, I don't advocate feeding your pets total junk, but we are getting 14 years on average primarily feeding our outdoor Maremma's plain purina dog chow... and chicken heads and feet, stray eggs, goat bones, and spare parts of whatever animals we produce around the hobby farm.

Is it too much to ask that truck bed dimensions standardize?

Maybe use some black plastic wood to build the lift and you can make a bit of a sill and drip edge if you need it with the cap centered.

Is it too much to ask that truck bed dimensions standardize?

Maybe just add a piece of black flashing under the front of the cover to keep water out of the bed? Looks like its pretty close to working if you slide the cover forward a couple inches to reduce the front gap a little.

    $25 transmission drain plug

Really? I've never seen one "full", and all the fluid must randomly go by it in an hour of run time? Especially in a diff or a transmission without a fine paper filter, the magnetic plug must be way better than nothing?
