    Marquez the Magnificent

If you haven’t seen the 2020 MotoGP opener from Jerez, look it up. In one of the most heroic runs ever in Motorsport, reigning World Champion Marc Marquez makes a miraculous save while fighting for the lead early in he race but runs off track only to rejoin in last place. A heroic drive back to...

Anyone else see Hamlin hood flap fly out?

Hamlin's headache was the result of Goodyear's excellence.

    U.S. Gasoline Production

It is ridiculous for RBOB to be at $1.25. Fully margined retail 87 gas is +$0.70, so $1.95. Here, most stations (less Costco) are $2.19. The distributors are fat and happy.

    10K OCI, mazda 3, 0-w20

Doesn't matter as long as there is oil on the dipstick. If you're cost-conscious, wait until Black Friday and buy jugs of M1 for $19.99 on Walmart.com. Or, go get Costco's new cheap syn. It really isn't possible for a normally aspirated Mazda four pot to stress motor oil. Period.

    Costco Fuel mix-up

I think it's great that your Costco carries 85. What is their price differential to regular 90/10? I can't imagine one load hurting any car. I've run it many times in my 2007 Tahoe. I've even run straight ethanol when the price differential exceeds the mileage penalty. It is rated for FlexFuel.

    The Cure for NASCAR

Return to truly stock cars with a minimum build homologation rule. Imagine Challengers, Camaros and Mustangs racing at Daytona. Here are the simple rules: 1. No engine rules. If it's sold in the dealer's showroom, you can use it. No displacement limit, no horsepower limit. Must use street 93...

Will Mixing 10 different Oils Damage an Engine?

The main thing I've learned around here plus 50 years of DIY OCs is that you keep oil in a modern engine, it will be fine.

    F1 - 2019 Italian Grand Prix

I keep trying to figure out VET's mental shortcomings. His incredibly poor judgment when under pressure is astounding for one with so much experience. I've had to finally decide the poor German just isn't very smart. Couple his weekly incidents with clearly being outdriven by his young rookie...

Toyota Save Mart 350 at Sonoma

I watched the trilogy Sunday and have this reaction. 1. IndyCar at Road America This was the most interesting race of the weekend despite the disappearance of leader Rossi. Road America is the best road course in the US—at least for these cars. High speed, plenty of places to pass, 4 miles...

    Canada Formula 1

Just rewards. Vettel, as usual, was being outdriven, made a mistake under pressure, tried to make up for it with a dirty move, and acted liked his usual spoiled brat when he was called out on it. I will say however, the stewards gave the wrong penalty. They should have forced Vettel to give up...
