    Royal Purple 75w90 price

Is $16 and some change seem high for 1 qt of the RP 75w90 gear oil? Just curious since this was quoted me from my Bumper to bumper auto store in town. The Valvoline syn was quite a bit less....what makes the RP so much more expensive?

Why 5w20w? & Trop artic quality?

My 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.8LV6 says to use 5w20w oil in the crankcase. Why? I've been using Trop Artic syn blend 5w30w but have always wondered if I'm harming my mpg or internal parts? Is the Trop Artic syn blend O.K? Been using if for years in all my vehicles without a hitch but [censored]...

    Safe to use?

Is it safe to use an oil filter such as a Motorcraft FL1A on a vehicle that does not call for a FL1A? For example: Can I use a FL1A on a 2009 Dodge grand caravan 3.8L V6? I find the stock filter on the Dodge 3.8 to be tiny and wondered if there was a larger filter to use as an option? Or...
