I thought I remembered from years ago what oils/types caused orange discoloration inside the engine, mostly seen in an aluminum cylinder head since it's easy to see over what should be a bright silver color.
Thought it was from parafin based oils but now I can't remember and can't find...
Ok, I got the two free cases from Brad Penn.
I compared the labels of the "old forumation" I supposedly have and the "new formulation" that was sent and they are different. The front of the bottles are the same, but the back label is different. The "new" bottles have the statement
*Increased...

I would have expected the values to be higher, according to the Brad Penn website they claim “typical” values of 1,500 ppm Zinc and 1340-1400 ppm Phosphorus for...

I mixed the following and ran them in a newly built 3.0L 6G72 Mitsubishi Turbo setup. Engine was just broken in with a few break in runs on the dyno using Brad Penn Break in oil. Then this mix was put in for dyno tuning and a few passes down the drag strip. I also drove the car around on the...
So as suggested I contaced BP via their website contact page with a link to the VOA sheet.
A Very nice guy from BP contacted me within 4 hours of sending the info. Pretty quick in my book.
He informed me that the VOA is exactly what the OLD formulation was and that I must have bought old...
I have some of the Break in oil as well. I may add 1 qt to the mix. That would definitely help. Thanks for the OA on that!
That OA is olmost 2 yrs old though, wonder if it is still valid?
