So, this was the longest OCI of the five, but has lowest wear metals, highest moly, highest vis, and best TBN. If your goal is to prevent engine wear, why wouldn't you continue using the Amsoil SS? Just wondering.

For people new to cartridge filters. This is why people swear by the Mann filters. No plastic/mesh/metal cage needed for support. It stays solid, doesn't collapse/twist/tear. I had same problem before. I would recommend trying an OEM one time, and see what it looks like when you remove it. I would bet it will not be distorted like that. If it is OK, use OEMs, or find who makes the OEM, and use it if cheaper. As someone said, it may be Hengst.
