    Men's Cologne / Eau De Toilette ?

I added little iodine to alcohol just to have a very faint yellow. Ethyl alcohol itself smells sweety, and when diluted iodine is light and airy. Its so light, probably only I know it. I'm thinking to add some tea tree oil or bergamot aroma when I find some.

    warm air intake

Isn't engine management manipulate the intkae air anymore? Lots of heat escape from exhaust manifold, this utiized for stable intake temperature. Fuel ratio can be trimmed for any temperature but stable intake temp. is assistive. Back in 70's many inlets were calibrated to be around 100°F, on...

    Wherever Brake Pads

I liked the Wagner Thermo-Quiet best so far. Little dust, no growling, fine brake power and long lasting. My previous Delco Durastops were d3EA certified for uniformity of frictional characteristics, Wagners wasn't. However on inspection Wagners gave only 0.3% force variance right to left at...

    Do 2 strokers always smoke?

Straightforward valuable info! Looks like I asked this in the right forum. I get many keywords for further search. Although I need to do some homework before discussing combustion chambers, I think I get the logic. Rich conditions bring the possibilites. Sounds more straightforward than 4...

    Do 2 strokers always smoke?

Chris, I wasn't quite observant for two-stroke oils until recently. I just took a peek at the supermarket racks. In boating section there were Evinrude and LuquiMoly oils in one construction market. On auto section there are Castrols; mineral, Magnatec and Edge series for 2cycle. Occasionally...

    Do 2 strokers always smoke?

motorcycle forum is very active... thank you all for the quick replies! Lots of Castrols here, avaible at every corner. Three quality levels, mineral, semi-syth and synthetic. I expect "synthetics" to be group III. Also I saw some Liqui-Moly, they seem heavier in consistency. No special oils...

    Do 2 strokers always smoke?

I'm getting the picture. I can get TCW-3 oil or even so-called synthetic ones. Also one local market carries Evinrude-Johnson HD-30 oils. May be I should pre-mix some 5 to 10 liters for better mixing. No fuel pump here, its gravity fed. Very basic transportation with Cadillac style tail fins...

    Do 2 strokers always smoke?

Hi motorcycle people! This is my first post in this section so pardon me if my question is overly basic. I'm planning to drive a Trabant occasionally. A DDR car with ~650ccm two stroke engine that makes 26ps @ 4200 rpm. Drivable around 2000-3000 rpms, 5000 being max. Compression ratio is 7.8:1...

    *sigh*....... mechanics

That's what the specific virtual discussions turns us into... Telephatic phantoms. Suddenly a few centistokes of liquidity becomes more important than a marriage. Let's get outdoors and breath the actual air to see if it's fresh.

    v4 engine in automotive application.

Ford used them in Eu market for superior cooling characteristics. I remember many small cars wouldn't keep the pace on -then- new highways for long. Even coolant wouldn't overheat, after a while cylinders would expand and simply lose compression. A 140 kph car with a 1.5 liter engine, but not...

    Thermostat quality

I mail ordered a SuperStant but the day before the replacement I lost it. I went to a parts store and asked the grey haired old fellow for a quality t-stat, then he went upstairs. After a while he came with a dull brass gadget. Probably stocked for 20 something years, and he was looking as...

    warming up the car

I slightly touch the steering wheel during my 90 sec. morning warm-up. I think that slight load is good for circulation and warming-up. May be regulating for the engine too. Waking up the car the way you'd like to be woken, rather slowly.
