Rental car review - 2026 Chevy Trax LT

attractive looking at a low price...that will sell for many. I believe this has a wet timing belt, too? Ugh.

Ring camera/ doorbell— happy to have

I must be grandfathered in...my plan was $25/yr per camera with a max of $100 / yr. So after 4 cameras the price didn't change. I've had Ring cameras for about 10 years.

Ring camera/ doorbell— happy to have

I have a total of 18 cameras between 2 houses and pay Ring a whopping $100 / year for the ability to record 24/7 if I wish or to go back and look at footage from up to 6 months ago. Cheap insurance and peace of mind. Highly recommended.

Differential within auto transmission - 1989 Toyota Camry

back in the 90's when I was in the car business...I took my wife's Geo Prizm into the service dept at the dealer I worked at for an oil change or something...and the advisor said a front differential service was recommended. I remember thinking ***?? A front differential in a Toyota Corolla...

JASO MA/MA2 VS JASO MB, does really matter on scooter ?

Dude, what are you even talking about?? Are you seriously asking this?

JASO MA/MA2 VS JASO MB, does really matter on scooter ?

A scooter engine with a dry clutch does NOT need to use dedicated motorcycle oil! this question gets asked over and over on forums. Motorcycle oil is for a shared sump with a wet clutch. With a dry clutch you can use just about any quality oil that you feel like.

Adam's Tire and Wheel Cleaner - works!

Superclean degreaser and a scrub brush...completely removes the old brown. Started using it a number of years ago after seeing many detailers use it. Pretty inexpensive...not sure the cost vs dedicated tire cleaners?

2007 Dodge Grand Caravan - Front Strut Assemblies

I put the Monroe OE Spectrum on my 14 Caravan last year. The ride is fine but the struts are not. RF one was good. LF made a ton of noise from the strut mount so I sent it back for a replacement. The replacement also makes noise (although a lot less). at this point Rock Auto wouldn't do another...

    Windshield trim pulling away

that seems to happen on many older cars..like you said, not related to water sealing, just the plastic cowl cover pulling back (shrinking?) a bit

94 Dodge Caravan 3.3L transmission leak, shifting problem

and were your last changes done using ATF+4? My '14 had a change at 70K with BG universal transmission fluid...against my better judgement. I gradually had shifting quality issues over the next 35K. I then changed it myself using the correct ATF+4 and after about 5K the shifting has gone back to...

163 cc Briggs never change oil engine.

same engine on a mower purchased last year...did a few early changes and the silvery, sparkly mess that more closely resembled silver paint than oil made me glad for the oil changes. Easy tip and drain, just like my last Toro with a Tecumseh.

    River Rock Project

love the idea of no mowing..ever...but around here that rock would soon fill up with dirt and crap and weeds would start growing, even with the landscape fabric.

New Vehicle Break-In: 500 mile oil change?

I did the 500, 1500 and 3000 mile changes (didn't change filter) on our Nissan, then took it to dealer for first free change at 5000 miles. A couple of extra 5 qt jugs of oil is cheap insurance.

What time and order to roll, aerate and dethatch my yard?

most effective time to kill Charlie is in the Fall with 2 chemical applications about 3 weeks apart. Triclopyr is the active most recommended. You can also hit it in the Spring. Differing opinions on whether dethatching and aeration are needed. In heavily (think construction equipment)...

    Forester Click Clunk

not sure if the aftermarket CV axles for Subarus still suck?...but I remember hearing warnings about using aftermarket on my '08 Outback...shop used aftermarket axles and the thing vibrated like a dog sh*tting razor blades in gear at a stop with foot on brake, when cold. Sold it a few months later.
