Synthetic Oil/Additive recommendation to keep seal soft/rejuvenate

I cant disagree with this opinion which is technically correct on every level. PVC or CCV on bmw is a great place to start because most oil leaks begin with vacuum or pressure issues. Unfortunately, BMW PVC is built into that $650 Valve cover with 6 hours labor cost. All stop leak products are...

Synthetic Oil/Additive recommendation to keep seal soft/rejuvenate

BD came in a close 2nd to AT-205 losing by a tad to softening of the rubber and nearly a tie for O-ring thickness after 2 hours of high heat. Some are using BD or 205 along with an oil change using Rottella 5w/40w T6 diesel oil and claim it aids in stopping the leaks plus cleans out ccvs on BMWs...

    Best oil leak stop products?

I would not increase the viscosity if your vehicle calls for less. The two work differently. The concept for higher viscosity is not to swell hardened gaskets/seals, but to only thicken oil so it does not leak as easily. This can cause other issues however. IMHO.

    Best oil leak stop products?

I had oil in my BMW 535 coolant from a suspected Oil Cooler leak. Of course, once these cars hit 100k, theres a good chance other leaks will appear, oil pan, valve cover etc. AT-205 was the quickest and most effective. Oil cooler was sealed after 2 hours of driving. Total back flush of cooling...
