Some were just huge sloping windshields , others had awkwardly designed dash tops. Lol..I remember my father bought a used second hand family car in 1987 which he let me drive. a...

Shop fan or ceiling fan for garage

Whatever works for them. I too worked in a auto glass shop , garage doors wide open, a big box fan on the highest setting, i worked 3 feet away from it, temp was at least 28C,high humidity probably made it feel like 35C....did nothing for me and coworkers. Only time i enjoyed it was to go the...

Shop fan or ceiling fan for garage

Its also about how useless fans are above a certain temperature....99F. Dry heat , humid...too hot and fans can be useless. Just blasting around warm/hot air.

Shop fan or ceiling fan for garage

Of course i have humidity. Sometimes 70 to 100 % humidity. No AC in my home, had temps as high as 40C with humidity a few years back. But our normal summer days, can be 25C to 30ish , plus high humidity. Three fans blowing on high, absolutely useless. Blowing around warm air.

Shop fan or ceiling fan for garage

keep in mind, once the temperature hits 95-99 F, a fan is useless and apparently dangerous as it can warm up our bodies too much. - https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/fans-may-be-okay-for-muggy-days-but-avoid-them-in-extreme-dry-heat/ - remember to stay hydrated, drink water. - you...

Parents need cooling - trying to talk them out of getting a portable A/C

My father bought one of those portable on wheels AC with the hoses. I hated it. Noisy AF, even on lowest setting. Maybe the current portable ACs are quieter, but i still think the best option (besides spending lots on a heat pump AC,split AC, ETC.) is to buy a window AC unit. And if you need one...
