Looking for a shop for T-Tec Los Angeles area

Toyota dealer uses the dip stick hole only. So if they suction from there how do they get any sludge or debris off the screen? Autorx says that there will be stuff on the screen. If they drop the pan and change the screen then only get the fluid from the pan. Could they do their cheesy dip...

Looking for a shop for T-Tec Los Angeles area

I'm actually in North Glendale California. I have a 2004 Toyota Tacoma 4wd I am doing an Autorx cycle at the moment and almost finished. I would like to get a T-Tec done this week. Question, will the shop use a specific fluid if I bring it? I just want to make sure I'm getting stuff with the...

Run Flats not available for my '07 Accord

My '07 Accord has the stock 16" alloys. Tire size is 205/60-16. I'm interested in getting run flats as this is my wife's daily driver and I don't want her changing a tire on the side of the highway. I know the drawbacks but what to consider my options. I checked tire rack and there doesn't seem...

Need a good bench vise. Suggestions?

Well I would prefer not to buy a chinese made product but what's the bottom line? How much do I need to spend to avoid a chinese product? I will spend a little more for US made stuff.

Need a good bench vise. Suggestions?

I am looking for a decent bench vise for my home. I saw one at OSH that looked decent. Made by Olympia, 5 inch "Heavy Duty" for $40. Any suggestions? Thanks

Need a reccomendation for a conventional MTL

My trans calls for a GL4 or GL5 75-90. It is a Toyota 4wd 5 speed. I am not looking to use a synthetic at this time for this specific transmission. What choices do I have in quality conventional oils? And does anyone make a conventional GL4 75-90 because I haven't seen any? Thanks

    Need struts, how's Gabriel?

Update: I just got back from the store and I'm halfway done with the front. What a PITA, I hate struts. Makes me long for changing shocks on my truck. The front struts have zero compression. They just collapsed. Mounts are bad so I had to buy those too. Ouch! BTW I bought the Gabriels. Monroes...

    Need struts, how's Gabriel?

Bilstein doesn't seem to make struts for this vehicle. I couldn't find a part number on their website. As long as the quality is OK, I think I'm going with the Gabriels and saving my pennies. The Solara stock struts went dead in relatively short fashion. So it wont be hard for Gabriels to...

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into that. Any feedback on the Gabriel's?

    Need struts, how's Gabriel?

I'm really looking for a nice soft ride. Performance is not a consideration. I don't think I can get KYB's locally. Since the Gabriels and Monroes are locally available that means if they ever wear out I can get them replaced for free. I like that.
