great replies and info, thanks!
the battery currently in there is an Interstate which I bought because I had heard good things. I don't have my records with me right now so I'm not positive but I think it's over 4 years old so I guess we got our use out of it. I've been getting 5 years out of...
as a follow-up; I changed the M1 5W30 with LubroMolu Motor Oil Engine Saver out to Mobil Series 200 HM without Motor Oil Saver and it seems that the leak is worse. This is based on checking the dipstick level and the level seems to fall a little more quickly with the HM. The drips from...
I've got a pretty good rear main leak in a '95 Honda F22B1. I added a can of motor oil saver last year with M1 5W30 and it seemed to slow the leak down quite a bit but it didn't eliminate it. I might try the M1 HM next to see if there's any noticeable difference.
thanks for the great info all, I'll have a look at those.
One problem with calipers is that I'm going to be trying to measure a venturi that could be several inches inside the tube. Also, some of those instruments look like they might be a little large to fit inside the tubing of my trombone...
Hi all, I want to build a profile of the inside of a trombone. Really there are just a couple of pieces that I'm interested in but it would be interesting to try and get the whole thing. The inner diameter does vary somewhat along the lengths of tubes that make up the instrument but I'm at a...
As a further follow-up to this, I spoke with Fedex. They asked that I check the MSDS for the oil and look for the IATA info. In this case it is shown as "Not regulated" so Fedex will ship this as a regular package. I'll report back with results.

That's what I was trying to do; ship from Shopper's Drug Mart.
I heard back from Purolator and their carrier in the US (UPS) says "waste oil samples" are an unacceptable commodity but Purolator will ship within Canada.
Will try others and report back.

I'm not yet sure if Canada Post really considers oil a hazardous material or not. So far I haven't found anything online stating that's the case so I think it falls into a grey area where it's up to the discretion of the people behind the counter. The people behind the counter today deferred the...
Hi all, I just tried to send a couple of samples to Blackstone from Canada and Canada Post won't accept them for shipping. I've sent them before without any issue and I might simply try a different office. Are any of the couriers any better for this?
Thanks
Greg
sorry, what's KBB?
Also I forgot to check truedelta. I've been making half-assed contributions to it regearding my Civic but I've sort of lost momentum on that.
thanks for the replies, all.
I checked out Edmunds and it's pretty good. I still don't love the final ratings (in my mind a car that has common trans failures at 90-100k miles shouldn't be getting 4 ou of 5 stars but maybe there are more things to be taken into account). One feature I really...
yeah, I should've thought that one through before putting the stuff on there. I swear the packaging suggested manifolds as one of the uses but I see now they don't recommend it. I wonder if it's older package or something but the temperature numbers should've been enough of a clue. (I'd try and...
