Meguire's D110, has been my favorite for years. Super concentrated, works great in a foam lance too. I've used other Maguire's soap (including gold class), rain-x, chemical guys, Duragloss etc and still prefer D110.
Heavier tires don't have any upside to me, I like as light as possible. As long as the side walls are strong enough to handle rock crawling, don't need more weight for any reason.
Going to be doing a transmission pan drop on my Wrangler soon - thinking about getting a new torque wrench or torque adapter. Torque spec is 10-12nm or 88.5-106.2 in-lbs. The pan gasket is reusable (and has been reused once) so thought maybe a torque adapter could be nice so I could measure the...
I'm not quite sure what that sounds like. The only noise I'd have is a rattle under low load like 1200-2500 RPM. I thought it could maybe be spark knock and tried higher octane, but didn't change it. It's gone now. Never had it before the cam finally got bad enough.
I stopped there to get the flag! But didn't get to meet any of the crew.
Yes for Moab we used Dan Mick Jeep Tours again - awesome to get a good spotter, makes all the difference. They're all just public trails, you pull up and go for it. Some have a small fee depending on where they are.
Realized I never posted up some pics of this trip from back in May. Road tripped from WI with my in-laws and their Jeep for their first time doing real wheeling. We did Fins n Things, Shafer trail and Poison Spider Mesa (they left their Jeep at the hotel for that one) for Moab. Then we did Sand...
They are extremely similar. I think the Nokians are slightly better in snow/wet and maybe a little quieter. But hard to compare that closely since I haven't run them on the same vehicle back to back. Between those two, I'd go on price.
I've always had great luck with Toyos/Nittos. Have had probably 3-4 sets of the OG Terra Grapplers, 3 sets of the Toyo OC AT3s, and I also have a set of the Recon Grapplers on my JLU. Love them all, great on road and off road. They tend to weigh less than similar tires, which I like. My 35s on...
